San Diablo
In Grown Up: San Diablo: Where everything is uphill both ways. In the fog and mud and burning tropical sun.
San Diablo is an imaginary place inspired by San Diego, other parts of California and other places I have lived. It is notable in this fictional world for being where Moon shuttles launch from.
In my imaginary world, we've colonized space -- at least by the time November is an adult -- and there are regular shuttles to the moon because we have teleportation but it only works in vacuum because this Star Trek bullshit of beaming someone up and somehow making sure you get them as an intact entity separate from the air molecules around them sounds way dumber to me than this idea.
